What gps would you recommend that has a qwerty keyboard and the option to avoid a route? Are there any other features I should consider my gps to have from your experience/preference?|||I think a must have would be text to speech, lane assist (to get you in the correct lane for an upcoming turn) and if you plan on keeping the GPS for a long period of time I would look for lifetime maps so you don't have to pay extra to upgrade your maps. You may want to check out http://www.the-portable-gps.com/ where you can find comparison charts of various makes and models of GPS units and get actual owner reviews of each model. Hope this helps.|||I bought mine on sale at Best Buy and it was a Magillian, it was on sale for 99.00 and has what your looking for. I loved mine the two years I had it.
The only bad thing I could find with it is the annoying person who reads the directions, but, it can be turned off... Plus its kind of expected with most GPS's|||GARMIN NUVI GPS
