GPS?......................?

I'm looking into getting my sister a GPS. I don't need top of the line. Maybe something under $200.00, I've been looking on Fry's to find a good deal. |||We just bought a Garmin. Not sure what model exactly (possibly the 360?), but it has the text to speech feature which I can't imagine being without. It came from Wal-Mart and was a bit over $200. There is a lower model, but I'm glad I got this one. It's so easy to use. It got us to Virgina and back!|||I bought one at Quantum-Wireless.com and it was probably the best thing I've ever done. I used to get like one bar in my house, but now I get like five. It's great, and they're very cheap.

|||Besides the price of a GPS, you should also know what features you wish to have.

Most desire features is possibly a larger 4.3" display, full coverage North America map, Text to Speech, Bluetooth hands free ability and traffic information.

The lower price unit normally do not include these features, the Garmin Nuvi 200 currently is a great deal at $199 but it does not have a large 4.3" display, it is only a 3.5" display, no text to speech, no blue tooth hands free and it is just pretty much a stand alone 48 states very basic navigation system. If you can live with that, than I would recommend the Nuvi 200.

The best way to NOT make a mistake by buying the wrong unit is to do some research and comparisons.

You can find Garmin, Magellan and TomTom units for under $199 from these links at Auto Nav 2000 Plus, Inc.

Best value currently is the Magellan CrossOverGPS @ $199 or the Garmin Nuvi 670 wide screen 4.3" at the $339 price.

Both GPS can offer you turn by turn voice direction and have full North America coverage. both units will offer text to speech where it announce the street names along with the turn by turn directions. The Garmin Nuvi 670 is 4.3" display, Bluetooth hands free and the Magellan CrossOverGPS screen size is 3.5". Both unit have the ability to have real time traffic information.

You can find these GPS systems at Auto Nav 2000 Plus, Inc.

Remember that if you buy a system to cheap, they normally will not function the way you wish it to. Most cheaper systems have funny routing and does not offer text to speech features.
