I just want to get a portable GPS for my car, and I'd like to know what the best one available is. I don't like buying shoddy merchandise!|||I own the Garmin c340. That one is very nice. It gives you turn by turn directions, including giving you the street names. You can choose which voice you want to use, whether male or female. You can even choose which accent you want it to have.
The unit also has a point of interest feature which allows you to find the nearest location of any restaurant, hotel, gas station, car wash, bank, etc. no matter what location you happen to be.
