How can I get my small business on the gps?

We own a small business. Recently we bought a Intellinav GPS. We are not listed on there. Who do we contact to get on the gps?|||Intellinav almost certainly buys their map data, likely from Navteq or TeleAtlas. Both companies allow you to submit data.

It's worth mentioning that it may take several months for these guys to process and then a year or more for Intellinav to incorporate the new data from their vendor. It's not a fast process as the pipeline is long.|||I used http://www.gpslistingservice.com to list our business on all the GPS Point of Interest (POI) Listings. It was really cheap to do it. less than $20.00 and it showed up on my personal GPS on the next update. It took two weeks and we saw A 10-20 percent increase in sales because of it.

|||Depending on what type of business you own and how long you have been in business.

If it is a gas station, a restaurant, you will probably have a better chance to have your business listed faster, if you own a clothing store or a pet grooming service, chances are you will not be listed any time soon.

Visit a local estiblished GPS retailer such as Auto Nav 2000 Plus, Inc and try to look up your business in the top 3 GPS manufacturer's model such as Garmin Nuvi 880, TomTom 930 or the Magellan 4250 to make sure your business is not already listed in the POI data base and Intellinav did not select to pay for the full set of POI content that is available to them.

To ensure your business maybe listed under POI content, make sure you have a business license and you are listed in the local business section in Yellow pages, you will also need to contact companies such as Info-USA, D%26amp;B etc where NavTeq and TA get their POI content. I would also contact NavTeq and TA directly to see if you can add your business in their POI directory.

DASH navigation provides Yahoo real time search feature, so go on Yahoo local and register your business so it is available when someone with a DASH PND search for business near their locations.

I would say in the near future we will have to pay for these listing like we do with Yellow pages.

Make sure your business have a website and web present.

It takes about 12-18 months after they get your information to be listed and who knows how long it will take for these GPS manufacturers to make your business available under their POI selection.

Remember the cheaper GPS PND that does not have to many POI information will probably not list your business if it is not in the top search categories.

Good luck|||I am not familiar with that brand but I know that on mine and on others there are two different ways to do it. You should be able to type an address in as if you were going to someone's house. Another way, that my GPS has, you can either plug it into a phone jack or into your computer and update all the maps and all the other features.|||make it bigger!!!.....jkjk.....um.....shouldn't there be like a customer service number when you opened it???...if there is one....ask them for the number to the place where the gps is actually manufactured and say where ur buisness is and ask why it's not on there....good luck!|||maybe you need an updated map find out what software its running and search the web
